On other computers (not mine)..If you insert a pedal mark, and play the piece and then delete the piece (with out pedal release) and open a new song, the sustain effect is still there with each note holding. Sounds horrible. You have to press stop 2-3 times and replay the piece.
On my computer (Which is strange and I want to find out why)..... That bug doesn't exhist. I do what I explained above and The notes don't hold. It's like it automaticall clicked stop 2-3 times eventhough it didn't. Basicly, that pedal bug is not on my version?? Wierd.

Here is the same bug in Malcolm Dale's words:
"Here is a bug I have noticed. If you start playing a piece of music and then stop it in the middle for some reason and the pedal happened to be on at the time, the next piece will have the pedal on and will not sound right. The only way I can think of to eliminate this is to go through every single piece and insert a pedal off (it looks like an asterisk) at the start of every piece. Then I'll have to upload all the music again. If it does happen to you, I think you will be able to stop the new piece and press the "stop" button about 4 times to turn off the pedal."

This is not a bug in NWC, but rather due to the MIDI command underlying the pedal mark in NWC. Just as on a physical piano the pedal stops the dampers from muting the strings when the key is lifted, a pedal mark delays the MIDI Note Off command for all notes on that staff until the pedal off mark is inserted. On a physical piano, the notes will decay naturally and stop even with the pedal still depressed. But in a MIDI or NWC file, you may have naturally sustaining instruments, i. e. strings or winds, that have sent Note On commands but the pedal mark prevents the Note Off commands that would normally be sent at the end of the written note's duration from reaching the synth. If you do not put a pedal up mark after the pedal mark, your synth still will not turn the notes off even when you open another piece until you send an All Notes Off command (F6 in NWC), often needs to be sent a few times. Some MIDI sequencers call this the All Notes Off or the Panic Button.
